Key Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate the commissioning plan from the programming and pre-construction phases through to beneficial occupancy and first-year warranty period to ensure that all building systems successfully perform interactively according to the owner’s performance requirements.

 

Workgroup

The BCG group consists of project managers and engineers oriented to the construction field with depth of knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC design, MEP field coordination, system start-up, and building automation controls.

 

Biographical Information

Larry J. Cheatham, CBCP, Executive Project Manager and Owner

 

Larry has over 23 years of experience in the construction industry as an HVAC design engineer, project manager and MEP field coordinator. Larry is also a Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) as conferred by the Association of Energy Engineers. Past jobs include MEP coordination and start-up/ commissioning for the 110,000 sq. ft. lab/office facility at the Biogen-Idec (now Genentech) manufacturing campus in Oceanside, CA., and MEP coordination and start-up/commissioning for the 252,000 sq. ft. research laboratory facility at the Pfizer Global Research and Development campus in La Jolla, CA. Larry has obtained NFPA certification of training in the areas of Automatic Sprinkler Systems and Electrical Installations in Hazardous Locations. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, a graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management’s Management Development for Entrepreneurs program, and has recently been accepted into the Stanford University Advanced Project Management program.
